At this point of time, who is still writing a blog? I've been to blogs which are active in the pass but are no longer active now. Is it because we all grow up and mature and don't have the time to blog anymore or is it because people are using twitter more now that they do not log in to blog anymore? And i really wonder who is still reading the pathetic blog of mine...
Been to RSPPC last session yesterday and we conducted a lesson on blogging. It became rather close to me because I'm familiar with what is being taught to the beneficiaries. The long 2.5 hours lesson on blogging made me talked almost non-stop, trying to teach and pass down the skills I have in using blogger.
After the session at RSPPC, I went down to AWWA for RSP Elders session. It was a long ride to AWWA as the bus I'm taking to reach there was very packed and the traffic was bad. It was due to guan yin's birth so that explains why the bus was packed and the traffic was bad. So I was late for session. When I reached AWWA, I saw Uncle Wong sitting at the stone tables before I got into the building. So I sat down with him and chatted with him over at the stone tables, asking him why he was sitting there. He was waiting for his daughter to come and visit him and told me that she would come at 3pm. When I looked at my watch, it was already 3pm. So I decided to continue to talk to him even though he asked me to go up. We talked on his experience during the World War II when Singapore was invaded and he shared stories with me. Oh by the way, Uncle Wong is one of my favourite uncles in AWWA and he plays very nice music with his harmonica! We chatted till around 4pm and his daughter finally came. So that made me realised after what Cheryl told me that Uncle Wong sat down at the stone tables facing the bus stop and waited for his daughter patiently, even for an hour! I don't know how long he waited down there before I saw him. Just imagine if I did not stop and talked to him for that hour, he would probably be sitting down there alone and waiting and waiting. From what I know, it is his own decision to stay at AWWA instead of going back to his daughter after he has recovered from some illness. So I guessed he must be very happy when his daughter came down and visit him yesterday. That actually add on to my session experience for I had my session not only just in the rooms of the beneficiaries, but also at other places like in the coffeeshop with Aunty Seeni and Aunty Salbiah some time back, as well as at the stone tables with Uncle Wong yesterday.
And after all these sessions filled with continuous talking, I had a meet-up with the secondary school friends, which was the first major meet-up after we have known each other for ten years! We did some catch-up on each other's life and some of us are doing very well, taking over businesses and setting up businesses on their own. And our topic has matured into work, marriage, buying house and even having children. So i guessed another ten years' time when we meet again, most of us would be bringing our spouse and children to the gathering and we would really need a very much bigger space then. Nonetheless, it was a great night catching up with people whom we have not seen each other for a long long time.
Oh yes, I'm going to Taiwan for grad trip this December. And my friends are going crazy over the MacDonalds Monopoly game. And I failed my midterm. Okay time to study! Wonder when will be the next time I'll be here to blog again. For my faithful followers, stay tuned!
